Everything you're probably wondering before you split a season with your crew.

What exactly is HalfTime?
HalfTime is a platform for co-owning season tickets. A group of friends (a "pod") splits the cost of a season ticket package, and HalfTime handles the hard parts: collecting money safely, dividing the games fairly, and giving everyone tools to trade or resell games they can't attend.
How does HalfTime decide who gets which games?
Every member ranks the games they care about most. Our allocation engine then splits the schedule so that marquee matchups, weekend games, and total ticket value are balanced across the pod — weighted by each member's ownership share. No coin flips, no "I called it first."
How much does it cost?
Signing up and creating a pod is free. HalfTime charges a 3% platform fee on escrow contributions and an 8% fee on resale marketplace sales. There are no monthly subscriptions or hidden charges.
Is my money safe?
All payments are processed by Stripe, the same payment infrastructure used by Amazon and Shopify. Your contribution is held in escrow and is only released once your entire pod is funded and active — no individual member ever holds the group's money.
What happens if a pod never fills up?
Escrow funds are only released when a pod becomes fully funded and active. If a pod doesn't fill, your money is never spent — contact us and we'll make sure your contribution finds its way back to you.
What if I can't make a game I was allocated?
You have two options: trade the game with a podmate directly in the app, or list it on the resale marketplace. Resale proceeds (minus the 8% fee) flow back to the pod proportionally.
Which leagues and teams are supported?
HalfTime supports the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, MLS, WNBA, and NCAA sports. Schedules are imported automatically, so your pod's calendar is ready as soon as the league publishes it.
Do I need to already own season tickets to start a pod?
No. Anyone can start a pod. The pod organizer sets up the season and seat details, members join and fund their shares, and the pod purchases or covers the package together once it's fully funded.
Is there a mobile app?
HalfTime works on any phone right now as a web app — open it in your browser and add it to your home screen for a full-screen experience. Native App Store and Google Play apps are on the roadmap.
How do I get access?
HalfTime is in early access. Sign up with email or Google, and our team approves new accounts as we expand capacity. Once you're in, you can create a pod, join one with an invite link, or browse open pods.
